Railroad society displays trains, area's past

"Eyes fixed on the village before them, people stood and watched as the train swept through town."

The Anthracite Model Railroad Club has been active for 20 years and the club's enormous track, more than 1,000 feet of it, houses trains that snake through the two-floor clubhouse.

Open houses will continue Dec. 18 and 26 from noon to 8 p.m., Dec. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m., Dec. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m., Jan. 2 from 1 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 3 from 2 to 8 p.m.
